Piper is 11 months old!

Piper is 11 months old today! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. She is such a fun, sweet little girl and we love her so much! Morgan really loves interacting with her, making her smile and laugh. Though, the high-pitched screams that go along with this can be a little much. :-)

She's (finally) just learned to pull herself up on the furniture. She's a big girl, so I think it took her a while to build up her strength. She's eating finger/table foods so much better. Last night she even ate some of a hot dog! She's also quickly picked up on the sign for "more" and even says "mo, mo, mo." We don't know if she really gets what it means, but she likes imitating me when I do it.

We are leaving for vacation to California on Thursday. We can't wait to show her off to our family and friends.

Piper is 10 Months Old!

Am I really 10 months old?!

This month Piper has mastered crawling, pulling up to her knees and waves Hi and Bye! The waving was a surprise. I had her in the bathroom the other day and she looked at herself in the mirror and started waving! I thought it was a fluke so I had David try it. She waved again! Then we just waved at her and said "Hi Piper!" and she waved right back! Good girl! We also painted her bedroom this weekend. It looks SO good! I'll post pictures soon.

Piper is 9 Months Old!

Piper is already 9 months old! This past month just FLEW by! She's been doing so much more even in the past two weeks. She's drinking water from a sippy cup, clapping her hands and just this past week she has mastered sitting up from lying down. She's also rocking on her hands and knees and trying to coordinate her limbs to crawl. It's not far away. Way to go Piper!

Wordless Wednesday: I'm 8 months old and my sister loves me!

Piper is 7 Months Old (and a week or so)!

Obviously it is not March 27th, but later is better than never, huh? We had a tough time with these pictures because every time we slipped in the sign she grabbed it. Then getting a smile as well was near impossible. Overall we got some cute ones though. Here's our purple flowerhead girl.

Piper is sitting so well all by herself and is able to reach and grab and play without falling down (expect when she gets tired). She is still rolling and pivoting to get to her desired destinations on the floor. We are encouraging crawling, but she's got a lot of baby chub to work on lifting off the ground! She continues to be full of laughs and smiles. All you have to do is make a funny face at her and she will giggle! She also shows her stubborn side more and more often. Take away a favorite toy and you will pay for it. Unfortunately sometimes she gets something she's not supposed to have, like a page of Morgan's coloring book. As soon as it's out of her hand her face crumples and the crying ensues. You "almost" want to give the prohibited item back, but not quite.

She also LOOOOVES her sister. She watches her closely and is trilled when she is acknowledged. Morgan will frequently sit down next to her and give her a "cheek hug." I think the love is mutual. Ahhhh, so sweet.

Piper is 6 Months Old!

Piper is 5 Months Old!!

Five months old already!! And as you can see in these pictures, she's really "chubbed out" in the last few weeks...or at least I think so. She's full of smiles and even a few giggles too. Here are some cute shots from our photo shoot today.

Piper is 4 Months Old!!

Piper was 4 months old yesterday! She is growing so fast. We have her Pediatrician appointment tomorrow so I'll announce her "stats" then. I also acknowledge that I haven't posted any Christmas photos yet. We got some really great ones...I just downloaded them, so we'll get them up soon.
