Sister Time

Morgan and Piper are currently playing in Piper's crib. I sent Morgan upstairs to "get" Piper when she woke up from her nap. When I got up there, Morgan had climbed into Piper's crib and was VERY proud of herself.

They are playing together very nicely. Every time I go in the room to check on them, Piper waves at me and says "Bye Mama!" until I leave.  Yay! Bonus blog time.

Piper has a stinky diaper though. I don't know how Morgan can stand that. Ick.

Pipey

Morgan has decided that Piper's name is now "Pipey" (or "Pipie"?). The majority of the time she calls her by this new name. At first I thought this sounded really odd, but it's grown on me. I don't plan on calling her "Pipey", but it sounds pretty cute coming from her sister.

Morgan tells us directly, "she is not Piper, she is "Pipey" She has even gone as far as pointing out Piper's name letters in her bedroom, telling us to take down the "R". I've asked, "How do you spell it?" She says it's "P-I-P-E." Explaining that this, in fact spells "pipe", not "Pipey" is totally lost on her. She insists this is how it is spelled.

We'll see what this morphs into next week...

Go Bears x Two

I posted these pictures a few weeks ago on Facebook, but I thought they needed a post here too. I was going through some of Piper's clothes and realized I had a little cheerleader outfit that she was almost going to grow out of! So, I dressed them both up and worked on some photos.

This is Morgan responding to me harping "SMILE!" at her. She would have rather watched Yo Gabba Gabba, but I managed to get a few, rather cheesy, shots. Somehow she looks a little too grown up here though. Kind of scary.

Bathing Beauties

Please excuse the phone pic...not as high-res as our other camera. This is Morgan and Piper's first successful bath together. Piper had not been too stable during other tries, but she did great this time! They played nicely together and no one seemed to mind sharing. I think this will be really fun for them as they interact more and more. It is also easier on Mom and Dad (and especially when David goes out of town), as we don't have to do two separate baths. Buh-bye baby tub!!

Grandma and Grandpa B May Visit

Here is just a preview to more from Grandpa and Grandpa B's May visit. Grandpa got a fancy new camera and took some beautiful shots of the girls!! I can't wait to post more here. Above is one of them together in Morgan's ducky tub. Piper was sitting in it and Morgan climbed right in with her. They are interacting more and more each day.

We won't see Grandma and Grandpa B again until we visit them in California in July/August. We can't wait!

Sister Weekend

I've got two sickies at home right now. Morgan's nose started running on Tuesday and Piper's started last night. Morgan now has a nasty cough. She's not coughing a lot, but when she does it sounds terrible. We're waiting it out at home the next few days. Hopefully we'll be on the mend soon and Mommy and Daddy won't get it too. We had a good run with no illnesses for a few months, so I'd say it's been a good winter so far in that regard.

Gym Workout

Note: To explain yesterday's Wordless Wednesday...it's been tough to get good pictures of Morgan lately. Every time I pull out the camera she wants to look at the "pictures" on the back of the camera (the display). When I took that picture she was really pissed that I wouldn't let her look. She didn't cry, but she made a lot of whiny noises.

On to today's post...Piper's been getting a workout in her baby gym lately. Check it out!

Tummy Time

Have I done a tummy time post for Piper yet? I probably have, but don't have time to look back through the posts. We haven't been quite as diligent with the tummy time this time around. Piper's doing OK, but she doesn't last long before she gets upset. Check out these cute shots though. Morgan wanted to join in on the pictures too. She loves her sister! I just have to make sure she doesn't accidentally suffocate Piper with her "hugs."
