Speaking of Little Mama's...

Piper's showing "little mama" tendencies herself lately. A few days ago we were at home while Morgan was at school and I had a bit of a headache. I turned on a show for her on Nick Jr. and lied down on the couch. She watch the show for a little bit then noticed me on the couch. She got up, walked over to a basket we keep blankets in...carried one over to me and tried to put it over me (I helped her a little). Then she brought her snack trap over and started feeding me her goldfish and dried cranberries! Hilarious!

Swiffer Sisters

Morgan and Piper have suddenly become fascinated with our Swiffer mop! I don't know why, since I don't use it a ton, but they certainly get the idea that it is used to clean the floor. We keep it in our garage, so most days Morgan asks for the "swifter" and I help her get it. Then she both pushes it in front of her and drags it behind her all over the downstairs. Piper likes to try too when Morgan is not using it. Maybe I should recruit them soon to help me clean the kitchen floor!

Daddy's little sports fans

I hope you are all not getting tired of my not-so-good iPhone pics, but it's the easiest way to get a quick shot when I get inspired.

Check out these cute kiddos! The shirts are courtesy of Aunt Ali who brought them from California, since all they sell here are Seahawk shirts. Bleh! Fortunately, Morgan and Piper don't know that their team isn't so good right now, though they made a great effort on Monday night verses New Orleans. They also have some Cal shirts that they will be sporting this weekend. We won't tell them how embarrassed we were last weekend with the awful loss and will just hope for the best for this next game. Daddy is teaching them to be loyal fans!

Heart Melted

We were going about our normal bedtime routine tonight. I took a little longer than usual getting Piper's bottle ready so when I got back upstairs David was combing Morgan's hair. This is usually my job. When Morgan saw me she grabbed my hands, pulled me toward her and put her arms out for a hug. Usually her "hugs" are kind of one sided. She puts her arms up, but I'm the one that really squeezes her tight. This time she actually hugged ME!! I said "ahhh, I love you," and she say "I-yuv-oo" right back!! It just melted my heart. Then she did it again!!

It sure makes up for a day full of toddler whining and refusing to sit on the potty.

Bliss

It's a blissful day in babyland (as my sister-in-law calls it)...Morgan is down for her nap and Piper just fell asleep ON HER OWN in the swing. She also slept for a stretch of 7.5 hours last night. Woo Hoo! Now, except for the strange fact that she's only eaten twice today (and it's 1:30 pm?), we are all good. If she's sleeping I guess she's OK. She might make up for it with a vengeance when she wakes up though. Just a little snippet for today...
